Fire Chief Larry Whithorn (ret.) has had a very tough time the last few years; he has undergone 7 surgeries to remove cancer and he just lost his wife due to a cerebral aneurysm. Chief Whithorn’s insurance was covered by COBRA, but that expired in December.
