Welcome to the LAAFCA (Los Angeles Area Fire Chiefs Association) web site. It is my true honor to serve as this year’s LAAFCA President. These are truly challenging times for the fire service and public safety in general. As community leaders, we are tasked with leading our organizations and cities through a wide range of situations while continuing to deliver the highest quality of service possible to those we serve. For us to succeed, we need to maintain strong bonds and partnerships within our communities and beyond and stay on the cutting edge of our industry’s best practices. LAAFCA exists for this purpose – to serve as a vehicle that drives unity, collaboration, and shared learning with the ultimate goal of delivering the best service possible when our communities call on us.
LAAFCA will continue to share through collaboration with the goal of leveraging each other’s strengths to guide us towards an ever-improving fire service – one that understands the value of analytics and technological advances, while also respecting our rich traditions.
As fire services leaders we are tasked with being stakeholders in the health, safety, and well-being of every member and citizen within our communities. We cherish that responsibility and optimistically look forward to delivering on our commitment. It is our honor to serve you.
